About the Event
Join us for a special Shavuot evening at Shirat HaYam — an open and egalitarian Jewish community.
We'll begin with a warm and uplifting Kabbalat Shabbat, with songs, prayer and a warm community atmosphere. We'll then continue into a Shavuot-inspired evening — a festival of learning, connection and meaning, in a light and joyful spirit.
A fun and connecting evening awaits, with time to meet, sit together, eat well and feel the community.

What to Expect
- Kabbalat Shabbat with song, candle lighting and Kiddush
- A dairy meal in true Shavuot spirit — because what's Shavuot without cheese?
- Discussion of the Book of Ruth — an open and fascinating conversation about loyalty and belonging
- Activity on the Giving of the Torah — a shared experience around the meaning of the holiday
- Children's activities — as always, our little ones will be engaged and happy
- Community connection with wonderful people — because in the end, that's what we're all about

To help us prepare properly, advance registration is required. Please register your family using the form below.
To cover the basic costs of the event, we request a symbolic contribution of €10 per person.
Additional donations are welcome and help Shirat HaYam continue building an open, egalitarian and sustainable Jewish community in Cyprus.
🍽 Potluck dinner
Shirat HaYam events are potluck style. Every family brings a dish to share. After registering, you will receive a password by email to access the potluck page, where you can see what others are bringing and add your own dish.
