Yom Kippur 5787
Yom Kippur is a day to pause. A day to reflect, ask forgiveness, let go of what we no longer wish to carry, and begin the year with hope and intention.
At Shirat HaYam, we come together as a community to experience this special day through meaningful prayer, music, and shared moments. Whether you have observed Yom Kippur your whole life or are joining a service for the very first time, you are warmly welcome.
Our services are modern, inclusive, and egalitarian. Women and men participate equally throughout the service, with no separation. We sing together, pray together, creating a space where everyone can participate and feel at home, regardless of their background or level of Jewish knowledge.
Services are conducted in both Hebrew and English, making them accessible to Israelis, English speakers, mixed families, and visitors from around the world.
This year, we are delighted to welcome Rabbi Professor Deborah Kahn, Principal of Leo Baeck College in the United Kingdom, who will lead our Yom Kippur services and share words of Torah and inspiration throughout the holiday.
Many people tell us that what makes Shirat HaYam special is the feeling of belonging. Whether you come on your own, with family, or with friends, you'll find a warm Jewish community where prayer, music, and shared experiences bring people together.
We would love for you to spend Yom Kippur with us.
