Rabbi Golan Ben-Chorin, Ed.D.
Rabbi Golan Ben-Chorin, Ed.D. is a third-generation Israeli Reform rabbi and entrepreneurial educator with experience of bringing deep meaning to hundreds of Bar/t Mitzvah families around the world.
He teaches Judaism as a language for living a life of meaning and excels at facilitating connection between Torah text and modern life of teenagers. He has founded two Reform communities in Israel, served in rabbinic roles across five continents, and is the founding rabbi of the Peace Synagogue in a visionary multi-faith center – The Peace Project, in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Combining thirty years of informal education experience and his doctoral research on pluralism, Golan responded to the challenges of COVID-19, by producing thirteen documentary shorts, including Dinking Across Faith, a cross-cultural Pickleball film featured at the NJ and Toronto Jewish Film Festivals — earning him the unique distinction of being the first rabbi featured in Sports Illustrated. His work blends tradition and innovation. With his guitar, voice, and martial arts practice, he stirs the soul, and awakens the spirit.
