Shirat HaYam is a growing egalitarian Jewish community in Limassol, Cyprus, bringing together people seeking connection, meaning, and a way to live Judaism openly and relevantly. This is a community built from within, from a desire to create a living, breathing, meaningful place.
We gather for Kabbalat Shabbat, holidays and events throughout the year, blending music, content, human connection and warm community atmosphere. Education initiatives, children and family activities, and shared learning are also growing alongside us.
What is special about Shirat HaYam is its participatory and egalitarian character. Everyone can take part, make an impact, and feel they belong — whether from a deep Jewish background or simply looking for a place to connect. This is a community created and growing together with its people.

The Bar/Bat Mitzvah process at Shirat HaYam is a moving family and community experience, connecting personal identity, the Jewish spirit, and a deep sense of belonging.
Our program was born from the desire to connect past and present, tradition and innovation, and experiential learning with genuine moments of excitement.
Over four months, families embark on a journey of discovery, learning and community — an empowering experience that gives children (and adults too!) real meaning and belonging.
The conversion process at Shirat HaYam is an emotional, deep and meaningful journey of learning, connection and spiritual growth — a personal path taken at the heart of a warm, accepting community.
Candidates are exposed to six areas: values and faith, the Jewish life cycle, Shabbat and Jewish holidays, the Siddur and prayer, Jewish history, and the customs of the Jewish home.
This is an open, heartfelt journey of discovery and renewal, nurturing a personal Jewish identity and genuine sense of belonging.
Shabbat and holidays at Shirat HaYam are moments of light, song and human warmth — time to pause the race of life, breathe deeply and connect with ourselves, others and the meaning we find together.
Each gathering weaves ancient tradition and modern spirit together, creating an open, joyful and inspiring experience filled with music, connecting generations, families and hearts.
Together we celebrate the Jewish annual cycle in an inviting, communal atmosphere, giving a deep sense of belonging and a true home to every person.
